  • Brak powiązania z CamDiab i Ypsomed.
  • W zagrożeniu życia dzwoń 112.

Before you start

educational tool

IOB — aktywna insulina shows on a chart how, according to a simplified model, the insulin visible on a CamAPS FX screenshot wears off, to make it easier to understand how a pump with an algorithm works. It is free.

  • This is not a medical device. The IOB chart and number are not for treatment decisions. The app does not replace your pump, CamAPS FX or your diabetes care team.
  • The IOB result is not a dose. Do not decide to give or withhold insulin or food based on it. Do not transfer this number to the bolus calculator of your pump or CamAPS FX.
  • The result may be wrong. Reading a screenshot can miss a dose or misread a digit or decimal point — compare with your pump history. Insulin action time is a model assumption, not a measurement. The model assumes all insulin was delivered; with a blocked or dislodged infusion set it was not.
  • Range. The two numbers show the model’s uncertainty. The lower one assumes a shorter insulin action and may understate how much insulin is still acting. When a profile’s tail is 0, the app shows one number — the uncertainty does not go away, it is just no longer visible.
  • Pump units. The result is in the same units as your pump screen. With diluted insulin these are not U100 insulin units — do not transfer this number to an insulin pen and do not give it to medical staff.
  • Test features, including “Meal — bolus” (bolus calculator), are off by default and have not been clinically validated. “Meal — bolus” shows how much insulin, according to the model, would correspond to a meal. It is a calculation, not a recommendation — you decide on every dose, following your diabetes care team’s advice.
  • Everything stays on this phone. The app sends nothing.
  • Not affiliated with CamDiab or Ypsomed.
  • In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Regulamin IOB — aktywna insulina

Wersja 11 z 2026-10-26

2. Czym jest aplikacja i do czego służy. IOB — aktywna insulina to bezpłatne narzędzie edukacyjne.

3. Wymagania techniczne. Do korzystania potrzebny jest aktualny telefon albo komputer z przeglądarką obsługującą JavaScript i zapis danych strony. Zrzuty muszą pochodzić z obsługiwanej wersji ekranu CamAPS FX. Zrzuty z innych aplikacji, wersji lub telefonów mogą zostać odczytane błędnie albo wcale.

4. Zasady korzystania. Użytkownik korzysta z aplikacji na własne ryzyko i:

  1. przyjmuje do wiadomości, że parametry modelu (czas działania insuliny, czas szczytu i ogon) — także w profilu wybranym według rodzaju insuliny — oraz parametry w Ustawieniach zaawansowanych są założeniami poglądowymi, a nie ustawieniami leczenia; wartości domyślne profilu według rodzaju insuliny opierają się na publikowanych danych o działaniu insuliny i nie muszą odpowiadać jej działaniu u konkretnej osoby, w tym u dziecka, a wartości zmienione przez użytkownika są jego założeniami; wynik jest podawany w jednostkach takich jak na ekranie pompy;
  2. każdy odczytany bolus porównuje z historią w pompie, ze szczególną uwagą na przecinek dziesiętny (pomyłka przecinka zmienia dawkę dziesięciokrotnie); dawki spoza okna widocznego na zrzucie nie są liczone;
  3. przyjmuje do wiadomości, że wynik może się różnić od IOB pokazywanego przez CamAPS FX; przy rozbieżności rozstrzygają dane z pompy i plan od zespołu leczącego;
  4. nie wykorzystuje wykresu i liczby IOB do decyzji o podaniu lub wstrzymaniu insuliny ani jedzenia i nie przenosi liczby IOB z aplikacji do kalkulatora bolusa w pompie lub CamAPS FX. Kalkulator bolusa CamAPS FX odejmuje insulinę aktywną tylko od korekty, a jego insulina aktywna nie obejmuje insuliny podanej przez algorytm — dlatego wyniki obu narzędzi mogą się różnić. Funkcja testowa „Posiłek — bolus” (pkt 14) pokazuje obliczenie modelu, a nie zalecenie; o dawce decyduje i podaje ją w pompie użytkownik, według zaleceń zespołu diabetologicznego. Kalkulator bolusa w pompie i CamAPS FX nie wie o insulinie podanej według tej funkcji, jeśli użytkownik nie wprowadził jej w pompie;
  5. jeśli używa insuliny rozcieńczonej — nie przenosi liczb z IOB — aktywna insulina na pen ani nie przekazuje ich personelowi medycznemu;
  6. przyjmuje do wiadomości, że wynik zakłada pełne dostarczenie insuliny i nie obejmuje insuliny podanej poza pompą (pen, strzykawka); przy podejrzeniu zatkania lub wysunięcia wkłucia albo odłączenia pompy wynik nie odpowiada insulinie, która faktycznie działa, i postępuje zgodnie z planem zespołu leczącego;
  7. w stanie zagrożenia życia dzwoni pod numer 112.

7. Brak gwarancji i odpowiedzialność.

8. Znaki towarowe. CamAPS i CamAPS FX są znakami towarowymi CamDiab Ltd. YpsoPump jest znakiem towarowym Ypsomed AG. Nazwy te służą wyłącznie do opisu, z jakimi zrzutami ekranu działa aplikacja.

10. Zawarcie i zakończenie. Umowa o korzystanie zostaje zawarta z chwilą kliknięcia „Rozumiem i akceptuję” i trwa, dopóki użytkownik korzysta z aplikacji.

11. Uwagi i reklamacje. Uwagi i zgłoszenia błędów należy wysyłać na adres soft4diabetics@gmail.com. Autor odpowiada w ciągu 14 dni. Adres nie służy do konsultacji medycznych.

12. Zmiany regulaminu.

Każdą decyzję o jedzeniu, leczeniu niedocukrzenia i dawkowaniu insuliny podejmujesz samodzielnie, według zaleceń swojego zespołu diabetologicznego. Włączając funkcję testową, przyjmujesz to do wiadomości. Przed każdym użyciem użytkownik sprawdza historię w pompie i aktualną glikemię.

IOB — aktywna insulina: Terms of use

Version 11 of 2026-10-26

1. Who provides it. IOB — aktywna insulina is provided free of charge by a private individual (“the author”). Contact: soft4diabetics@gmail.com. On request sent to this address, the author will give their full name. The author does not run a business in connection with the app and accepts no payments or donations.

2. What the app is and what it is for. IOB — aktywna insulina is a free educational tool. It shows on a chart how, according to a simplified model, insulin delivered by the pump and visible on a CamAPS FX screenshot wears off, to make it easier to understand how a pump with an algorithm works. The app reads insulin doses from CamAPS FX screenshots selected by the user and, based on them, draws how insulin wears off using a simplified model. This core function does not calculate a dose, is not intended for diagnosis, monitoring or treatment, and is not intended for making decisions about insulin doses or food. The app also contains test features, switched off by default, described in section 14. One of them, “Meal — bolus” (bolus calculator), shows how much insulin, according to the model, would correspond to a meal, based on parameters entered by the user. It is an auxiliary calculation, not a recommendation: the user decides on every dose, following the diabetes care team’s advice. It is not a medical device, an accessory to a medical device or an extension of the CamAPS FX app, has not been clinically validated and does not replace an insulin pump, its bolus calculator, the CamAPS FX app, a glucose meter or advice from your care team.

3. Technical requirements. A current phone or computer with a browser that supports JavaScript and local site storage. Screenshots must come from a supported CamAPS FX screen. Screenshots from other apps, versions or phones may be read incorrectly or not at all.

4. Rules of use. The user uses the app at their own risk and:

  1. understands that the model parameters (insulin action time, peak time and tail) — including in the profile chosen by insulin type — and the parameters in Advanced settings are illustrative assumptions, not treatment settings; the default values of the profile by insulin type are based on published data on insulin action and may not match how the insulin acts in a particular person, including a child, and values changed by the user are the user’s own assumptions; the result is shown in the same units as the pump screen;
  2. checks every bolus read against the pump history, paying particular attention to the decimal point (a misplaced decimal point changes the dose tenfold); doses outside the time window visible in the screenshot are not counted;
  3. understands that the result may differ from the IOB shown by CamAPS FX; in case of a difference, pump data and the care team’s plan prevail;
  4. does not use the IOB chart or number to decide on giving or withholding insulin or food, and does not transfer the IOB number from the app to the bolus calculator of the pump or CamAPS FX. The CamAPS FX bolus calculator subtracts insulin on board only from the correction, and its insulin on board does not include insulin delivered by the algorithm — so the two tools may give different results. The test feature “Meal — bolus” (section 14) shows a model calculation, not a recommendation; the user decides on any dose and delivers it on the pump, following the diabetes care team’s advice. The bolus calculator of the pump and CamAPS FX does not know about insulin given based on this feature unless the user entered it on the pump;
  5. if using diluted insulin, does not transfer numbers from IOB — aktywna insulina to an insulin pen and does not give them to medical staff;
  6. understands that the result assumes full insulin delivery and does not include insulin given outside the pump (pen, syringe); if the infusion set may be blocked or dislodged, or the pump disconnected, the result does not reflect insulin actually acting, and follows the care team’s plan;
  7. calls the local emergency number in a life-threatening situation.

5. Who may use it. Adults who want to better understand how an insulin pump with an algorithm works, including parents and carers of children with type 1 diabetes.

6. Prohibited use. Do not use the app unlawfully, interfere with its operation, or present it to others as a medical device, a tool for making treatment decisions, or a tool endorsed by the pump or CamAPS FX manufacturer.

7. No warranty and liability. The app is provided “as is”, without any warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk and responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damage arising from the use of the app, including use of the result contrary to its intended purpose (section 2) or to the rules in section 4. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

8. Trademarks. CamAPS and CamAPS FX are trademarks of CamDiab Ltd. YpsoPump is a trademark of Ypsomed AG. These names are used only to describe which screenshots the app works with. The app is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by these companies. Insulin brand names (e.g. Humalog, Liprolog, Lyumjev, NovoRapid, Fiasp, Apidra) are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe which insulin a profile refers to. The app is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by insulin manufacturers.

9. Privacy. See the Privacy notice. In short: screenshots and results are processed only on your device, only the settings and the fact of acceptance stay in its storage, and the app sends nothing. The author has no access to them.

10. Start and end. The agreement is concluded when you tap “I understand and accept” and lasts as long as you use the app. Tapping it also confirms that the user knows the app’s intended purpose (section 2) and uses it at their own risk (section 7). You may stop at any time and delete the site data in your browser. The author may change, suspend or shut down the app without giving reasons.

11. Feedback and complaints. Send feedback and bug reports to soft4diabetics@gmail.com. The author replies within 14 days. This address is not for medical advice.

12. Changes. After a material change to these terms or to the start notice, the app will ask you to accept again. The author keeps previous versions and provides them on request sent to the contact address.

13. Governing law. These terms are governed by Polish law. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence.

14. Test features. The app contains features marked as “test”, switched off by default, including “Insulin action”, “Falling — carbs” and “Meal — bolus” (bolus calculator). They show model calculations based on parameters entered by the user. They have not been clinically validated, may be wrong and are not a recommendation. You make every decision about food, treating low glucose and insulin dosing yourself, following your diabetes care team’s advice. By switching on a test feature you acknowledge this. You use it at your own risk, and the author accepts no liability to the extent permitted by law. “Meal — bolus” shows how much insulin, according to the model, would correspond to a meal, taking into account insulin on board from the screenshot, glucose and the target value. The user enters the calculator’s parameters, including the maximum dose, the share of the meal before eating and the correction share; they are not treatment settings and should match your diabetes care team’s advice. When uncertain, the calculator shows less insulin or no result. There are three exceptions to this rule. The first is the question whether a bolus was given after the screenshot: its default answer is “none”, so if there was a bolus and the answer is not changed, the result will be too high. The second concerns glucose below the target value: the calculator then shows two results based on different assumptions about insulin sensitivity; the highlighted one uses the insulin sensitivity factor (ISF) entered in Settings, and the other, more cautious one is shown for comparison only. The third concerns glucose entered in the “Glucose now” field: for 15 min after entry the calculator uses the entry, even when it is higher than the CGM reading. If the entry is more than 20 mg/dL higher (more than 20% when the CGM reading is 100 mg/dL or higher), the calculator asks about the reading and uses the lower value until you answer; after “Yes” it uses the entry. If the entry is too high — for example a reading from a finger that was not washed, or a typing error — the result will be too high, and the calculator may calculate a dose even when CGM shows glucose below the low glucose threshold. After 15 min the calculator again uses the lower of the two values. “Falling — carbs” chooses glucose the same way, for the entry validity time set in Settings; with an entry that is too high it may therefore show too few carbs. This rule is also weakened by settings the user can change. With any of them, “Meal — bolus” may show more insulin than with the default values: (1) “Tail (min)” set to 0 — the calculator then uses a single profile instead of taking the lower result of two; (2) “Forecast — upward correction” or “Forecast — downward correction” shorter than 30 min — with falling glucose the correction is then calculated from a higher glucose value; (3) “Add loop insulin after the screenshot” switched off — the calculator then does not subtract insulin the loop delivered after the screenshot; (4) in Advanced settings, the “low glucose within the last” window shorter than 60 min — the upward correction then returns sooner after a low; (5) “Share of loop insulin subtracted” below 100% — the calculator then subtracts only part of the insulin on board delivered by the loop; (6) “Low glucose threshold” below 70 mg/dL — the calculator then also calculates at lower glucose, and the limits after low glucose and during a fall start to apply later. A tail of 0, a “Fall projection” shorter than 30 min and a low glucose threshold below 70 mg/dL may also make “Falling — carbs” show fewer carbs than with the default values. The “Consider waiting with insulin” message is only about timing: it does not change the result and is not a recommendation to withhold or delay a dose. Its absence does not mean that giving insulin is safe; how often it appears and how long it lasts depends on the “Wait — coverage from” and “Wait — recalculate at the latest after” settings. After waiting, the result is recalculated with the current insulin on board, and the first number is shown for comparison only. The result includes insulin given after the screenshot only if it is a dose recorded in the app with the “✓ given” button; the record is lost when the app is closed. The result does not know about any other insulin given after the screenshot, insulin the loop will deliver later, or how much the child will actually eat. Before every use the user checks the pump history and current glucose.

What’s new

Version 2.12.3 of 26 October 2026

  • A recent glucose entry (up to 15 min) takes priority over the CGM dot; with a large difference the app asks about the reading.
  • Terms of use, version 11: section 14 describes a third exception to the “less insulin when uncertain” rule (a recent glucose entry higher than CGM), so the app asks you to accept again.
  • The app now starts without internet even after it was closed completely. Condition: after this update, open it once with internet on.
  • Time of a new bolus or food: tap the HH:MM field — the wheel opens. When the time is missing, the field and the wheel arrows are red.
  • The time wheel for a bolus and food goes further back — as far as insulin on board and food are counted (at least 3 h).
  • Profile buttons show peak time and DIA; below, in small print, the insulin name or “custom 1–3”.
  • The hint shown while swiping between screens stays grey for the whole movement.
  • “Consider waiting with insulin”: corrected sentence when insulin on board covers the whole calculation or the downward correction helps; after changing the language all sentences are in the new language.

Zrzut ekranu CamAPS FXCamAPS FX screenshot

Aplikacja sama odczyta bazę, bolusy i godzinę „teraz”.
The app reads basal, boluses and the “now” time by itself. The screenshot stays in this page’s memory and is never sent anywhere.
On Android you can also pass the screenshot straight from the screenshot bar: “Share” → IOB icon (installed from Chrome).
Supported: screenshots from the Polish version of CamAPS FX (“j.”, 24 h, mg/dL); a screenshot from the English version (“U”, AM/PM, mmol/L) may end with a refusal to read the doses.

Sprawdź odczytCheck the reading

To odczytała aplikacja. This is what the app read. Correct or add a bolus if something is wrong; then “Calculate IOB”.
